Information Centre for Technology and Patents (ITP)

The ITP offers services regarding industrial property rights (patents and utility models, trade marks and designs). We provide access to standards and technical guidelines as well as specialist literature on industrial property. The ITP also accepts applications for patents, utility models, trade marks and designs and transmits them to the German Patent and Trade Mark Office.

    • DEPATISnet Open-Access-Symbol / DEPATISnet-Premium Accessible in ITP only
      Database of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, containing a large number of German and foreign patents and utility models in full text. The Premium version offers batch download of patents in full text
    • Patselect Accessible in ITP only
      Bibliographic database on patents and utility models. Offers comfortable search and quick overview to inspect a large number of documents

      Database of the European Patent Office (EPO) containing a large number of German and foreign patents and utility models in full text. Search language is English

      Database of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office on German patents and utility models providing information on legal status and full texts

      Database on trade marks, covering Germany. Contains all German trade marks (German Patent and Trade Mark office, DPMA), European (Community Trade Marks, Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, OHIM) and IR trade marks (World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO)
